We encourage ALL PG teams to be as creative as possible, push your limits to really challenge yourselves to create a unique PROUDgive. One that Gives BIG to others and rewards you with knowledge that you can Live BIG and make ANYTHING happen.

If you are looking for some ideas, we've listed a few below which highlight non-profits we've effected already who always welcome PROUDgirls!

About: Charleys Fund started because of one little boy who was diagnosed with a fatal disease in July 2004. His parents are on a mission to find a treatment and cure for him and other boys who have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Making Bagged Lunches to drop off. Include a sandwich, a drink, a snack and even a PROUDgirl note to wish someone a good day!
Go to the soup kitchen and help sort ideas, bag products and if your 16+ cook and serve lunch to over 400 guests.

Little Flower Children and Family Services
About: Every day Little Flower strives to fulfill its mission to serve children in crisis, families and developmentally disabled adults in need.

United Veterans Beacon House
About:United Veterans Beacon House, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing transitional housing to our nation's veterans in need. This site provides you with information about our services and contact information. We currently have fourteen locations, including emergency sheltering for non-veteran families. We also maintain a thrift store to provide clothes, furniture, and appliances to veterans and others in the community. A food pantry is provided to all those in need, and we have a food home-delivery food service for disabled and disadvantaged Senior Citizens in our neighborhood.

Pajama Program
About: Pajama Program provides new pajamas and new books to needy children, many of whom are waiting and hoping to be adopted. Many of these youngsters have been abused or abandoned and in many cases, have never enjoyed the simple comfort of having a loving mother or father tuck them in at bedtime. Through the Pajama Program, we hope to contribute to a warmer, more loving environment for children when they are at their most vulnerable.

About: Project Sage Horse Rescue is a New York state Certified non-profit organization and a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization based in Northport, New York. It was started in 2007 by then-16 year-old Brittany Rostron as a means of commemorating her deceased rescue horse named Sage. Since the inception of the organization, we have rescued over 90 horses from slaughter. Our goal for 2011 is to double this number to 90 horses saved!

Millenium Sistahs
About: Millennium Sistahs Inc was established in 1999 by Ms Glenda Hills a Trinidadian and missionary, to provide services to women and their families. They provide FREE preventative medical care in the Caribbean and at many health fairs in New York. We also donate toys and clothing and medical supplies to individuals and other agencies. Millennium Sistahs Inc services are comprised of programs such as a Medical Missionary Program, Community Food Pantry, a Back to School Program and a Baby Beginnings Layette (community Baby Showers) Program.

21. Invite someone who is not part of your inner circle to a friendly gathering

Try making a special effort to give attention and kindness to all the people you interact with. Notice how it changes your focus, your mood and the way people respond to you. You can change your life and the world by being a positive force.
