Alexa Chung is a British television host, model, and editor at British Vogue. Chung, with her quirky personality and unique outfits, happens to be one of my celebrity fashion inspirations. When I saw this photo of Chung on Tumblr, I instantly fell in love with her outfit. Considering I am not a famous style icon, spending absurd amounts of money on clothes doesn't exactly fit my budget. For example, I unlike Chung, cannot afford to spend over $1,000 on a purse that only holds my phone and a tube of lipstick. I've decided to put my spin on it for all of you with a much cheaper price tag because her outfit is rather fantastic.

To start off, I found a fantastic wool-blend coat with a cheetah print similar to that of Chung's. This coat, on sale at Old Navy for $65.00, is a quality piece that will keep you both stylish and warm. Under the printed coat, I placed a graphic t-shit to keep the look laid-back and casual. I have to admit, it's quite pathetic how much I love this shirt. The quote "Not All Who Wander Are Lost" printed in the center of the compass design encourages people to be free-spirited and follow whatever path their hearts desire. This tee is by the up-and-coming brand Jawbreaking and is currently on sale for $17.99 I would personally tuck this top into a pair of dark-wash denim shorts for an effortlessly cool look. These shorts, although a tad expensive priced at $36.50, are made by the quality brand American Eagle. Since it is almost winter (happy December by the way), if one were to successfully wear this outfit outdoors (without freezing) tights would be required. The tights I have chosen are a thicker material than the average nylon pair and are made out of a ribbed knit. The tights are only $5.80 from Forever 21.

Accessories, in my opinion, can elevate any outfit and make it speak more about who you are. I've decided to pair the look with a pair of lace-up boots in a leatherette finish to incorporate the fall and winter knee-high boot trend to allow for cute comfort. The boots are currently $31.80 from Go Jane. Chung decided to splurge on a Chanel quilted clutch; however, I found a very similar bag for the reasonable price of $40.30 which is also from Go Jane. A wool hat, like Chung's, is a winter essential to look fashion-forward and keep warm. The hat I found is only $17.80 from Forever 21.

Chung, a well-known fashion icon in England, has started to make a name for herself in the American fashion industry. I look forward to seeing Chung's outfits because they always inspire me to try new trends.
