Well, tonight was a lot different than what I had expected. I had never been to a shelter before tonight, and the experience was something I'm happy to have at such a young age. To be there with such strong, friendly women was really emotional, inspirational, and of course an eye-opener. The women there were so much more charismatic than I expected; such as Beth who was always talking to us whether it was about her own life stories or giving us advice.

To see their appreciation grow with each new present being opened was such a heart warming moment, which I'm happy was shared with all of my good friends. Knowing that I helped those women really is indescribable to me. The room was just full of positive energy as everyone conversed; I can't wait to see them again with a new project which we need to start planning soon.
