First, I looked up the Hospitality Center's number on the St. Patrick's Parish website. After I located and wrote down the number, I planned out what I was going to say and looked in my Proud Girl handbook for some tips on calling major organizations. After that, I picked up the phone and explained that I was a member of the Bay Shore Proud Girls Team and wished to make a donation. The manager of the facility was delighted! I asked what the Hospitality Center could use and she gave me a list of items that Team Bay Shore could collect. Once I wrote everything down, I asked when and where I would be able to drop these iems off, then recorded her answer, and thanked her for her time.

Calling people you don't know or are uncomfortable with is scary at first but once you do it you'll feel great! :)
